Who usually does the wedding toasts and how many are too many?
Wedding toasts are meant to be given by the few people closest to the bride and groom. These typically include the couple’s parents, brothers and sisters, the maid of honor and the best man. Remember that not everyone needs to speak and that the speeches shouldn’t be super lengthy either (somewhere between 1 and 5 minutes is good). We also suggest that you have a maximum of five speeches since a lot of guests will be restless waiting to dance and, let’s face it, your brother has never been much of a comedian. It’s best to keep toasts short and sweet so you can keep the party going.
