What are the pros and cons to renting versus buying my wedding gown?
There are different reasons why brides decide to rent or purchase their own dress. Renting a dress is nice because it is often a lot cheaper than buying and you don’t have to worry about it collecting dust in your closet for years and years. However, purchasing a dress can be every important to some brides. Some brides choose to purchase their own dress because they want to keep it in the family and possibly hand it down to their daughters one day. Another factor to consider is that often times you can’t alter rented dresses and so you might not get that perfect fit or style that you can achieve with a purchased dress. Not to mention the fact that brides typically have to put down a large deposit for rented dresses and must be extra careful not to stain or damage them in any way, or they could be facing some large fees.
