Should the birthday child open his/her gifts during the party or after?
Recently there has been more debate about this question, but most parents agree that opening gifts at children’s birthday parties are a fun tradition for everyone. Children learn how to graciously accept and thank their guests for their presents and the guests get to see the wonderful look on your child’s face when he opens their gifts. The only times when opening presents at a party are not a good idea is if a) you have too many gifts to get through and not enough time for everyone’s to be opened or b) the children are really young (age 4 and under) and will just lose patience with gift opening.
