Should my child change his/her outfit after the service?
Typically Mitzvah boys and girls change after their service into something more casual and comfortable for the party celebration. This is more common for girls who have to dress conservatively at the ceremony covering their shoulders and wearing a dress that is at least knee length. Oftentimes girls want to change into more of a party dress that’s a bit less reserved. Boys are welcomed to change their outfit as well or simply take off their coat so they’re more comfortable.
