Can I have a male bridesmaid or male maid of honor?
Although it is a bit untraditional, there is no rule that states you cannot have a male bridesmaid or maid of honor. The point of a bridesmaid is that the role is taken by someone you trust and love dearly. If that person happens to be male, there is nothing wrong with that. Just make sure your male bridesmaids dress similar to the groomsmen and stand on your side. It’s also a good idea if you keep the number even and don’t just have one male bridesmaid and the rest female. This might look a little off so try to have at least two male bridesmaids if any. Another thing to think about is who will throw your bridal shower or bachelorette party. This might be where mommy and sister come in.
