Is it appropriate for the groom to wear sneakers to the wedding?
Grooms and groomsmen wearing sneakers to weddings have definitely become more popular in recent years. It is really up to your personal taste and the look you are going for. On the one hand, some might say it takes away from the traditional and elegant look of the bride and groom and makes your wedding photos look much more casual, while others find it young and fun. There’s no doubt that most sneakers such as Converse will be cheaper and more comfortable than nice wedding shoes. However, for just this one day I think your groom can handle wearing some uncomfortable shoes. One compromise is to have the groom and groomsmen wear nice shoes but colorful socks. That way they show off a fun splash of color just by lifting up their pant leg.
